Summary
We are seeking exceptionally ambitious and communicative hands-on individuals who are comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary team, have experience working in fast-paced agile (scrum) environment and who have the passion and skills to take our product offering to the next level. The right candidate has complete command of web development technologies, including strong skills with OO JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, as well as experience designing user interfaces and user experience design. This candidate is an accomplished well-rounded front end developer, with a mastery use of best practices, design patterns, and frameworks. They also have a thorough understanding of the implication of software designs and implementation choices on application usability, performance and maintainability.
Responsibilities
* Designs and implements user facing products in Prosper. * Collaborates with other developers and designers to build medium to large scale projects. * Creates clean, maintainable, cross-browser compatible code from mockups. * Implements highly responsive UI functionality using AngularJS, MVC, jQuery, HTML5 and REST. * Passion for unobtrusive JavaScript and standards compliant HTML5 and CSS3. * Data-informed product development: Analytics, A/B testing, etc
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor degree in computer/engineering/new-media related field or equivalent work experience * 5+ years of web development experience * 3+ years of commercial experience with OO JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, HTML5, JSON * Strong user experience and visual design skills * Familiarity with server-side MVC web frameworks, such as Ruby on Rails * Self-directed and capable of working in a fast paced Agile (scrum) environment * Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations * Enthusiasm, Ideas and Suggestions
