Summary
Our client is seeking candidates to assist with documenting the business rules for a large legislative information management system. The initial task includes documenting workflow and process flows, user storied, business rules, and a data dictionary.
Responsibilities
* Organize material and complete writing assignments according to standards set by you and the team regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. * Participate in interviewing staff, reading existing documentation and publications and other material to become familiar with the legislative process, user stories, and business rules in order to prepare and write the document deliverables. * Select or create photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, graphics and charts to illustrate material as necessary. * Assist in laying out material for publication both digitally and in print.
Ideal Candidate
* Must have 5 years of experience with technical writing and experience with at least one major system redesign * Must have experience in writing technical documentation including standards, processes and procedures for at least 2 large content management systems. * Must have experience with MS office (Visio, Power Point, Word, Excel). * Must be self-motivated and adaptable to learning and understanding new things. * Attention to detail and follow through on completion of tasks. * Must be able to manage own time and sensitive to the time of others. * Must have organizational skills to coordinate priorities and meet deadlines. * Must have strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making capabilities. * Must have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. * Must have analytical skills, and as well as familiarity with the SDLC and requirements gathering process. * Familiarity with federal legislative and law-making process a plus. * Familiarity with interactive diagramming tools a plus.
