Summary
Vaco has been engaged to identify a Product Analyst - Interconnection Systems to work on a long-term project with an innovative Cloud platform designer located in Sunnyvale, California. Our ideal profile is a consultant with technical background who has progressed from a Developer designation to a BSA/Functional Analyst on network systems, and has been performing product/system analysis in the network systems space in their recent past.
Responsibilities
* Streamline capture of product requirements working with product management, UX designers and other cross-functional teams. * Evaluate requirements from multiple stakeholders, reconcile conflicts, identify potential risks. * Produce solution documents, user stories, process flows and task flows which are directly consumable by engineers to build product features based on requirement analysis * Work with architects and engineers to understand strengths and limitations of technology stack and leverage those in product design. * Work with engineers during development phase to provide early feedback * Help with scope management and change management process related to scope. * Test and certify product releases to ensure quality.
Ideal Candidate
* Product Analysts with 8+ yrs. of experience in eliciting, collecting and developing requirements. * Experience working on interconnection and/or network technologies related products/solutions. * Good understanding of Networking layers (L2 - L 7), Network control plane, Forward plane in a cloud ecosystem is required. * Understanding of Software defined network and Layer 2 (VLAN, VXCLOUD), Layer 3 (BGP-ASN, VRF) network technologies is required. * Understanding of anatomy of different network devices (Juniper, Cisco, Arista etc.) and understanding of Network Orchestration and Network Control Systems (OpenFlow, Tail-f) is a strong plus. * Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly on complex project plans, design and technical issues. * Expert knowledge in Product Management Life Cycle. * Proven track record of success analyzing, defining and overseeing requirements for advanced and complex products. * Familiarity with Web application development and technologies, networking, and infrastructure. * Knowledge and experience in database technologies and data analysis. * Working knowledge of a System/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management, especially Agile. * Working experience with tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, Visio, Word and PowerPoint is preferred.
