Summary
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Associate Project Administrator position in the Global Engineered Support Structures (ESS) Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will coordinate between Valmont and our representatives as well as other customers in requests for quotations, accepting and processing orders, computing accurate prices, negotiating price and delivery of orders, and handling all quote and order related issues for our customers.
Responsibilities
* Manage the quote process for all assigned customer accounts including the initial review and summarization through follow up activities. * Prioritize quote requests based on information and needs. Monitor the flow through various departments. * Ensure management recommended margin levels are met on all quotations. * Verify customer purchase orders received against quote documents, confirm order specifics, enter and schedule orders at the appropriate site. * Promptly and accurately communicate all quote and order schedule information to all internal and external customers. * Maintain a cooperative attitude in dealing with the regional team, all departments of the company, and the representatives. * Act as a team player and a primary customer contact in a professional, efficient, and effective manner. * Effectively negotiate pricing and orders with representatives. * Maintain a complete understanding of the quote and order entry systems
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field * One year of previous experience in a sales, telemarketing, or customer service position * The ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment subject to specific deadlines that must be met, while verifying the accuracy of work and/or others' work * Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills * The ability to solve complex problems with a high attention to detail * Be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently * Must have an acceptable attendance and prior employment record **Highly qualified candidates will also possess:** * Two or more years of previous experience in a sales, telemarketing, or customer service position * One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment * The ability to understand and analyze engineering details, project plans, and specifications * A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook * Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
