Summary
As the Director of Demand Generation you are a key leader in our effort to drive outbound and inbound demand generation, sales funnel development activities as well as develop and implement high impact strategic campaigns and tactical marketing programs across vertical industries and, particularly, account-based sales and marketing efforts. An experienced account based marketer, you will work hand-in-hand with sales to drive revenue more strategically, and lead demand generation initiatives within a targeted set of enterprise accounts. By creating meaningful engagements with prospects through multiple marketing channels, you will be a critical resource for the growth of sales revenue. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and working in close alignment with sales development, sales operations, sales and marketing leadership, you and your marketing automation team will analyze, drive and measure marketing funnel optimization. A strong understanding of marketing automation and CRM systems is necessary. You won’t need to be hands-on with the technology, but understanding what work needs to be done to maintain and improve lead databases, scoring, and segmentation -- and being able to support the execution of that work -- is important.
Responsibilities
* Develop personalized marketing campaigns to drive meetings within targeted strategic accounts * Work closely with the Marketing team to develop strategies for inbound and outbound campaigns -- incorporating email marketing, SEO/SEM, social, website, display advertising, live events, and more * Own the buyer’s journey, and manage and optimize lead scoring and nurture models that align to industry best practices and perform above benchmarks * Partner with the SDR team to ensure optimal lead flow and follow-up on marketing contributed leads * Deliver on key business goals including leads, MQLs, and Opportunities * Measure, report on, and optimize marketing campaigns * Manage marketing automation team * Drive strong communication and alignment between marketing and sales * Forecast and present to marketing leadership and senior management
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 10 Years experience in technology sales with at least five years of specific focus in digital marketing solutions (mobile, web analytics, optimization, email, social). Combined with SaaS product environment is a plus. * Analytical mindset with ability to track and report on leading campaign performance metrics as well as lagging revenue attribution, revenue influence and ROI. * Proven success of demand generation campaigns as measured by new business sales, as well as complex and variable ABM execution using disruptive technologies. * Experience with Salesforce.com and marketing automation systems. Experience with Pardot in particular is a plus. * Excellent relationship management skills with ability to build rapport, influence and deepen relationships with stakeholders, especially with Sales. * Strong and disciplined project management and process improvement capabilities.
