Summary
The candidate will join the Brazil Portfolio Management team based in the Tishman Speyer Global headquarter in New York. The team is responsible for all of Tishman Speyer’s Brazil Real Estate Funds and direct assets.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and analyze asset business plans and performance to maximize returns in the context of the wider portfolio * Interact with other functions within Tishman Speyer in Brazil and globally to gather relevant data to maximize Fund and asset-level synergies * Develop and manage financial models/ proformas for the investments and funds to project fund performance, carry out scenario analysis and manage liquidity * Provide Senior Management and investors with timely and relevant financial analysis of fund and asset performance * Prepare quarterly reports, presentations and asset reviews for Senior Management and investors * Provide support to the Asset Management and Acquisitions groups, assisting with fund acquisitions, sales and refinancings * Undertake relevant research on the economy and real estate markets * Ensure compliance with fund and joint venture documents
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have superior analytic and problem-solving skills, and excellent quantitative and writing skills. A background in Real Estate or investment analysis is strongly preferred. The ability to think strategically and to present information in a clear and concise manner is critical. Other qualifications include: * 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience * Technical / Operational Skills: Advanced Excel modelling skills, ability to work independently, detail-oriented, strong financial skills * Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing; Excellent interpersonal skills; Sensitive to cultural and language differences * Required Knowledge: General financial, accounting and capital markets understanding; Real Estate experience, potentially gained within an investment banking or fund management environment is desired * Language skills: Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus * Managing / Organizational skills: Ability to meet tight deadlines, manage varied tasks simultaneously, work within a team in an entrepreneurial environment * Other: Ability to travel to Brazil occasionally
