Summary
We’re seeking a well-rounded, Corporate Systems Engineer to provide support to staff on all company supported hardware and software applications and act as Tier 3 support for the Company’s Service Desk.
Responsibilities
* Provide worldwide day-to-day support and customer service * Install, configure, and administer Windows and Linux based system hardware and software * Support Cloud Based system, application implementation to support business functions * Configure shared storage disks sub-systems to use various raid configurations * Support Virtualization Platform to ensure supportability, availability and ongoing security * Support Corporate Network systems and circuits to ensure connectivity for each site for all business functions * Evaluate and recommend Systems, Network and Corporate application based/related technology * Configure systems to provide High Availability through clustering software * Support corporate network and Internet Infrastructure * Lead platform capacity planning * Participate in technical architecture strategy development * Resolve technical failures in a timely manner, track issues, escalations, resolution and closure of IT tickets. * Troubleshoot and solve common IT issues (password resets, computer hardware failures, access requests) * Support/Administer Active Directory, Office365, Azure, AWS, virus/spam detection systems, SAAS corporate applications and data backups * Work on projects as needed * Bring ideas for improvement forward * Follow and implement security policies while carrying out desktop support * Documentation as needed * Physical movement of IT or other office gear as needed * On-call and available 24x7 to expertly support our global staff
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years’ work experience in Windows 2008 /2012 Server administration * 3+ years’ work experience supporting Cloud hosting environments (Azure / AWS/ O365) * In-depth experience in system networking and networking technologies * Experience in supporting customers in an IT Service management framework (ITIL /COBIT/ MOF, etc.) * Engaging, customer-centric personality * Intellectually curious, analytical, results-oriented * Impeccable attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical code of conduct * Excellent organizational and communication skills * High-energy level; self-motivated; hands on attitude, positive “can-do” and “get it done” attitude * Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced, established technology enterprise; start-up experience advantageous * BA/BS degree in Computer/Information Systems, or closely related field
