Responsibilities
- Maintain corporate server infrastructure, including SAN, private server virtualization, and public cloud services. - Manage the system administration team for corporate network infrastructure (firewall, switches, load balancers, etc.) and core IT services (Active Directory, email, DNS, system monitoring, backups, etc.). - Own desktop / help desk support, including provisioning and maintaining of PC and Mac desktops and laptops for all employees. - Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. - Lead development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan. - Support all onsite and remote end-users for desktop software, hardware, peripheral, and network connectivity issues. - Oversee the internal IT ticketing system and address issues as they are logged. - Identification of areas where new or improved support policies and procedures may be needed or where new ones may need to be developed. - Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale. - Assure collaboration with business process owners in testing of applications and technology solutions. - Excellent communicator with the ability to present clearly to management and internal teams with varying levels of technical expertise. - Ensures the effective operation of a company-wide incident reporting and management system.
Ideal Candidate
- B.S. in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science or Engineering. Advanced technical degrees a plus. - 8+ years leading IT organizations within successful companies with best-practice security policies and IT general controls. 2 - Must be able to inspire the team, leading by example and with integrity. - Implemented and maintained enterprise applications, having helped define requirements, evaluated vendors, and negotiated contracts. - Hands-on experience as a system administrator or network engineer. - Experience supporting Windows, Linux and Mac OSX on both server and desktop. - Understanding of data center and corporate network infrastructure. - Experience supporting core system IT services such as active directory, email and file sharing. - Ability to effectively communicate with engineers and software architects. - Preferred Certifications: MCSE (Server, Desktop, Messaging, Private Cloud) VMWare(VCP, VCAP, VCDX) Cisco (CCDE, CCNP) CompTIA, - IT Governance: ITIL Expert, CGEIT, CRISC, GRCP, ISF or similar certification a major plus
