Summary
* Our Client is a top Retail Distributor with an incredible growth trend * Excellent compensation which includes; a competitive base salary, short term annual bonus, long term incentive bonus, and stock options($100K+ package). * Generous Relocation Package: pack and move household goods, house hunting trips, temp housing, real estate assistance, etc * They are looking for a High Potential Candidate that can serve as an Operations Manager for one of Functional Areas at their "Big Box"Distribution Center This position reports to an Assistant General Manager and is part of the Management Team in the Distribution Center.They are looking for a candidate with the ability to develop and manage a team of 10+ Supervisors, and up to 100+ hourly employees. Someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all operational areas within the Distribution Center as well as with the merchandising and transportation departments to ensure customer satisfaction. * The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leadership, staff development, process improvements, quality initiatives, and budget adherence * Candidate must also have prior experience leading a team of supervisors within a minimum of 400,000+ square foot facility in a team environment that operates multiple shifts. * Essential is the ability to relate goals as they relate to the DC network and align with overall corporate objectives
Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with your peers, team and DC Sr. Management in order to communicate effectively, collaborate across departments, and strategically implement solutions * Inspire your team of with challenging assignments and coaching to facilitate individual growth and development; foster a collaborative environment in which diverse backgrounds are respected and valued * Ensure performance plans are set, maintained, and continuously improved * Maintain a high level of service and compliance throughout the process * Manage a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness; lead the facility in safe and efficient operation of all equipment
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree * 8+ years of DC Leadership experience * 3+ years Management(2nd level Management) experience * Stable career with progressive responsibilities * Prior P&L management experience * "Big Box" DC Management experience required * Excellent communication skills * Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict; ability to provide feedback and develop other leaders * Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel along with WMS experience * Available to work any shift * Must be able to relocate in the future for promotional opportunities
