Summary
Libbey, Inc. is currently seeking a strong communicator and detail orientated individual for a full-time, Warehouse and Shipping Coordinator role within its Distribution Center Operations. This is a challenging role that will keep you on your toes and provide the opportunity to interact with all levels of management. The Warehouse and Shipping Coordinator serves as the "nerve center" for the operations.
Responsibilities
The Warehouse and Shipping Coordinator will provide superior customer service to carriers and internally. The Warehouse and Shipping Coordinator will proactively provide carriers and customer service department with all pertinent information relating shipment details. - Coordinate outbound shipping by working with carriers, customers, and third party agents to schedule pickup appointments for two distribution centers - Monitor carrier pick-ups and follow up with carriers on missed appointments - Research and provide documentation on customer claims and detention - Coordinate inbound freight into Libbey Distribution Centers via container for unloading - Work with Customer Service Department and Billing clerk to meet customer expectations for shipment of product - Retrieve signed Bill of Ladings to forward to Customer Service and carriers as requested - Run Truck Load (TL) / Less than a Truck Load (LTL) scheduling report in order to efficiently manage and schedule appointments - Identify quick response needs and exercise good judgments in ensuring customer needs are me
Ideal Candidate
- Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred - Experience with multi-phone system - Warehouse Management Systems Experience (WMS preferred) - Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment and interact with all levels of the organization - Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment - Ability to handle multiple priorities and multitask effectively
