Summary
The Vice President of Quality is responsible for, and in agreement with the Chief Clinical Officer or Chief Operating Officer, has the authority to make decisions on regulatory operations, infection prevention and control and environment of care for the Enterprise that are in alignment with and in support of the strategic and business priorities enterprise-wide . The VP of Quality is accountable for establishing appropriate analytics for sustainability of deployed continuous improvement initiatives, required data submissions, oversight of accreditation/certification with TJC,CMS, TDHS and other specialty certificate organizations, infection prevention and control, and environment of care across the continuum of care. Works closely with the Vice Presidents of Patient Safety/Clinical Risk Management and Environmental Safety/Enterprise Risk Management to ensure delivery of safe high quality patient care while continuing to minimize clinical risks across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Identifies, plans and submits data to external organizations as required for participation or reimbursement, regulatory or related to certifications across the continuum; provides continuous survey readiness for TJC/CMS/TDH, Environment of Care, Infection Prevention and Disease Specific Certifications enterprise-wide * Create an assessment and surveillance program for improvement, cycles of learning and sustainability * Create a high performing team that will effectively collaborate with hospital and entity leaders and staff to drive outcomes and elevate the enterprise. * Develop appropriate analytics and assessment platform for sustainability of continuous improvement efforts utilizing reliable, effective and efficient strategies and action planning.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 5 years senior level experience managing Quality at a hospital, preferably in a multi-hospital system * Master’s degree in healthcare or business and Clinical undergraduate degree * Clinical licensure in any field; CPHQ at time of application or within one year * Experience in project planning, utilize and encourage use of PDSA, Lean/Six Sigmain daily work and project work, participation in a Baldrige application team or experience as a TAPE or Baldrige Examiner, Microsoft Office, Visio, Project planning proficient, strong presentation skills, knowledge of HIQRP, PQRI, TJC standards, CMS CoP, State regulations related to external reporting.
