Sun Coast’s product line includes a wide array of petroleum products including gasoline, diesel fuel, marine diesel, jet fuel, avgas, kerosene, DEF and a full line of Chevron lubricants and many other name brand lubrication products. We purchase our fuel directly from major refiners, with delivery to our customers
Responsibilities
* Under general supervision, perform the investigation, analysis, and follow-up for the collection of overdue accounts, and perform other related duties as required * Handle heavy volume of phone calls and email correspondence with customers and company employees * Organize, plan, prioritize and accomplish assignments accurately, efficiently and timely * Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork * Advise customers on necessary actions and strategies for payment of debt and negotiate credit extensions when necessary * Correspond with customers and answer questions regarding their accounts, determine reasons for non-payment, and review the terms of their contracts * Resolve conflicts, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with acceptable resolutions * Analyze and approve daily fuel, lubes and equipment orders based on credit status * Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions to solve problems * Identify and monitor overdue customer accounts using computers and a variety of automated software systems, notify customers of delinquent accounts, and persuade customers to pay amounts due on credit accounts * Arrange for customer payment of debt or establish payment schedules based on customers’ financial situation * Coordinate customer credit changes with the credit department * Document accurate information about financial status of customers, status of collection efforts and payment status * Establish good working relationships with customers, and maintain them over time * Other tasks as assigned by manager
Ideal Candidate
* High school diploma or the equivalent * Minimum 1 year of experience working in an office environment * Must exhibit a stable past employment history * Strong work ethic and self-motivation * Professional telephone etiquette * Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel programs * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Professional demeanor * Fast and accurate alpha and numeric typing skills * Thorough understanding of CISCO phone system * Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail * Persistent and persuasive, yet courteous and professional manner when dealing with customers * Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the assigned duties * Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well in a team environment **Preferred** * Prior collection experience * Prior experience corresponding with customers * Experience in the transportation industry * SAP Experience
