Summary
SmileDirectClub is looking for a Marketing Analyst to leverage data across different channels to provide deep organizational insights for improving program effectiveness, supporting customer centricity and defining our analytics strategy. We are looking for someone to be the analytical firepower that drives our growing business. The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, measuring, and reporting digital metrics, as well as supporting the continued enhancement of our technical infrastructure as it relates to digital analytics.
Responsibilities
* Analyze data across different channels and programs including but not limited to search, display, site, video, email and mobile. * Utilize systems and develop relevant dashboards that provide insights and visualization into customer and marketing channel performance relative to KPI's, historical performance, and projections. * Conduct ongoing and as-hoc analysis to support and drive marketing strategy. * Work with IT partners to ensure data feeds are accurate and delivered in a timely manner. * Develop and maintain KPI reports and dashboards that communicate key business trends, provide insights in to marketing performance, and highlight opportunities for growth and operational improvements. * Work with the executive team on compiling and formatting reports across various channels to understand weekly, monthly, and quarterly business performance. * Deliver recommendations to Marketing Leadership regarding promotions, Ad creative, and site improvements for enhanced customer experience and improved revenue stream. * Monitor, analyze and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns and uncover opportunities to improve customer acquisition and future campaign development. * Conduct ongoing and ad-hoc analysis to support/drive marketing strategy to meet both internal needs and external requests. * Develop deep understanding of industry, company and customer value drivers to conduct performance optimization analysis. * Perform audience segmentation and pull campaign lists. * Look for opportunities to automate portions of data collection and integration processes and/or capture data along different stages of the buyer journey. * Work with Marketing VP and CRM leader in marketing attribution as well as media mix analysis. * Analyze A/B or multi-variate tests to provide in-depth insights to the marketing team on the test data and understanding of marketing drivers’ effects. * Evolve and improve reporting processes and capabilities, with a solid knowledge of marketing objectives and channel activities. * Compile and format daily, weekly and monthly reporting consistently across various marketing channels. * Maintain and improve the forecast tracking and measurement system. * Lead efforts to respolve data quality issues by identifying root-cause errors and presenting potential solutions.
Ideal Candidate
* Expert in Excel. * Experience with Tag Management tools (Google Tag Manager, Segment). * Experience with statistical computing software such as SAS, R, SPSS a plus. * Experience with SQL * Ability to understand key metrics, data structures, and complex data flows to ensure reporting accuracy and relevancy. * Ability to understand key marketing metrics, data structures, and complex data flows to ensure reporting accuracy and relevancy. * Ability to maneuver through disparate data sources, and test hypotheses through comprehensive quantitative models. * Ability to identify market opportunities and forecast performance within digital marketing channels. * Ability to build predictive models and deliver insights that help optimize online and offline marketing campaigns. * Thorough understanding of digital marketing concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies. * Knowledge of marketing automation systems. * Interest in leveraging technology to do cutting edge reporting and analysis. * Proficiency with multiple analytic and database tools common within a marketing organization (e.g. Google Analytics, Tableau, AdRoll, Adobe Analytics, WebTrends, Facebook or Pinterest Admanager/API etc.). * Naturally curious; seeks out answers by diving deep into the data. * An excellent communicator who loves to share findings and actionable insights. * Highly motivated self-starter. * Strong data mining skills. * Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in an entrepreneurial environment. * Attention to detail, balanced with hustle and swift execution. * 3+ years of experience in analytics role, with at least 1 year focused on marketing analytics.
