Summary
The Sr. Manager of Media Analytics will work with the Media leadership team to turn the vast amount of digital and traditional media-related data collected on a daily basis into actionable insights. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for analyzing the performance of all digital and traditional media channels. The Sr. Manager of Media Analytics will have a deep knowledge of digital and traditional marketing channels, as well as the ever-changing analytics space as it relates to attribution and marketing mix modelling, . This position reports to the Sr. Director of Digital Marketing.
Responsibilities
* Leads the media analytics practice for JCPenney and is responsible for turning digital media, traditional media, and customer data into actionable insights in order to inform investment and optimization strategies. * Responsible for developing investment hypotheses and presenting them to senior management for execution consideration. * Responsible for creating media and sales financial models to guide media investment decisions. * Responsible for driving best in class usage of our web analytics, marketing mix modeling, A/B testing, and in-house analytics tools. * Keeps JCPenney at the forefront of media analytics through the evaluation and implementation of new tools. * Partners with all Marketing channel owners to provide actionable insights for the business. * Works with digital analytics implementation team to ensure online business objectives are tracked. * Works with CRM and Digital Analytics team to create Omni-Channel insights. * Works with Digital Marketing, E-commerce, Product Category Leaders, and Planning & Allocation teams to develop media channel forecasts. * Responsible for maintaining, improving and automating the weekly channel sales forecasting process * Responsible for providing media performance data/insights to Senior Marketing leadership * Creates presentations that tell stories with data
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics. * SQL, SAS, R experience required. * 7-10 years of progressive business experience in media analytics * Omni-Channel retail category experience a plus. * Successful track record of providing media insights to optimize sales performance. * Experience implementing and being an administrator of an e-commerce enabled version of Google Analytics Premium, Coremetrics, or Omniture required. * Exceptional understanding of how ad tracking and serving technologies work across websites and apps. * Experience managing Digital Marketing channels (ex. Paid Search, Affiliates, Display, Shopping Engines) a plus. * Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into stories and insights for C-Suite. * Ability to influence and express a point of view as an SME on digital and media analytics. * Experience with Attribution and Media Mix modelling tools required (ex. MarketShare, Hudson River Group, VisualIQ, Convertro, Adomotry). * Machine Learning experience a plus.
