Summary
Tubi TV is currently looking for a Data Scientist to join our small but mighty Data Science team. You will be responsible for ensuring that we use our data to guide product and business decisions. This role requires a skilled communicator who can break down complex datasets into simple and easy to digest recommendations for decision makers. The role includes maintaining dashboards, tracking KPIs across teams, and leveraging our data to provide insights across teams. You have a proven ability to rapidly work cross functionally.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain dashboards and self-service data tools to enable teams to monitor health and performance of KPIs and experiments * Supplement day-to-day operations with data - provide teams with ad-hoc analysis as needed to help initiate new experiments as well as give visibility into team goals * Determine and implement best practices for maintaining data quality and work with engineering to document, validate and monitor these processes * While part of our Product team, the data analyst will be responsible for cross-functional work with Growth, Engineering, Marketing and Content * Design and execute experiments to improve our Product. Collect and analyze test data to guide launch decisions * Think critically about our data, trends, and generate insights for decision makers. Communicate your results to diverse audiences at all levels from executives to marketing coordinators with effective writing, visualizations, and presentations
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years of industry experience using data analytics to produce impactful insights in product, growth and or marketing * Strong background in statistical analysis. Degree in a quantitate discipline: computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics or equivalent * Experience working on projects from creation to finalization: kick off with decision makers, question formation, data exploration, statistical analysis, visualization, and presentation. * Expert knowledge of probability and statistics, including experimental design, predictive modeling, optimization, and causal inference. Aware of the common pitfalls in data analysis that could lead decision makers astray. * Expert knowledge of a scripting language, and statistical computing language (Python/pandas, R) * Strong experience data mining, reporting, and dash-boarding in SQL * Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to balance competing priorities on multiple projects and deadlines * Enjoy working individually but also in a team setting * Demonstrated drive, desire to constantly learn and improve.
