Responsibilities
* Coordinate, analyze and manage new construction loan closings for affordable multifamily developments throughout the United States. * Responsible for the overall sources and uses as well as analyze the availability of the flow of funds as it relates the construction timeline for new and rehab construction from closing through conversion. * Review deal structure and complex capital stacks sources for a project including the nuances of the restrictions and requirements for funding the project costs. * Review legal documentation for economic terms, conditions, and servicing requirements. Set up transactions summary for accounting and financial records * Liaise with client on their initial closing draw; validate invoices pursuant to internal guidelines. * Prepare settlement statements and reconcile deal related fees and expenses * Coordinate due diligence calls with clients and track completion of open items to ensure compliance and firm requirements are met prior to closing * Internally interact with the bankers, underwriters, legal, credit and engineering risk * Prepare post-closing summaries and hand off for servicing and documentation. * Display strong understanding of policies and procedures
Ideal Candidate
* Individual must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under tight deadlines, manage priorities for loan closings. * Candidate is required to have a BA/BS * Candidate is required to have minimum 5 years of direct construction loan management and underwriting experience or minimum 10 years of relevant affordable housing, closing background. * Candidate has quantitative skills with a high proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office based programs. * Familiarity with affordable housing projects and the typical debt and equity parties preferred
