Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Trade Services Team within DuPont Capital Management’s (DCM) investment accounting operation. Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in investment accounting. Candidates should have knowledge of a wide range of asset types; experience with private markets and other alternative investment types is preferred. Financial statement preparation experience is preferred, specifically relative to private markets investments.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance of internal accounting records for private markets investments; reconcile records to third party administrator * Review and approval of quarterly financial statements for private markets funds * Processing of capital calls and distributions for private markets investments * Monitoring portfolio cash levels and reconciling daily activity * Completing trade confirmation and allocation workflows * Ensuring accurate and timely settlement of trades, including unmatched and fail monitoring, reporting, and resolution * Providing accounting and operational support to investment personnel * Continuously analyzing existing processes for efficiency improvements * Providing backup to other investment accounting personnel as needed * Documenting critical processes and training others to perform functions in a back-up capacity
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business-related field * Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in investment accounting. * Candidates should have knowledge of a wide range of asset types; experience with private markets and other alternative investment types is preferred. * Financial statement preparation experience is preferred, specifically relative to private markets investments. * Ability to work on multiple tasks independently and concurrently * Strong oral and written communication skills * Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment * Excellent analytical ability and quantitative skills * Ability to work in fast paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines * Attention to detail * Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and full suite of Microsoft Office applications
