Summary
The Channel Marketing Program Manager will be responsible for program, promotion, merchandising and literature development to support a specific customer segment of the California market. The Channel Marketing Program Manager will quickly understand customer needs of this customer segment and develop strategies to drive sales and market share growth in this segment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong promotion development and management capabilities along with creativity and an aptitude to develop literature that drives purchase behavior. Selected candidates are expected to be proactive, customer-oriented, driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to lead sales efforts as it relates to the identified customer segment.
Responsibilities
* Gain a clear and documented understanding of the customer needs for the identified segment and develop a marketing communication plan to grow sales. * Define, justify, and execute marketing programs that deliver increased sales of Rain Bird products through the targeted customer segment. * Develop metrics to track and analyze marketing communications effectiveness and implement across the Contractor SBU. * Work closely with field sales on local programs that deliver pull through sales of Rain Bird products and increases market share. * Interact with sales and marketing to develop product, merchandising and promotional strategies that grow sales and market share. * Research, develop and deliver compelling marketing materials, value propositions and promotions to field sales to help them maximize sales and market share growth. * Critical process areas include but are not limited to: * Channel strategy development and go-to-market execution, with specific emphasis on navigating/meeting codes and standards. * Merchandising and marketing initiatives. * Product positioning and promotional tracking. * Promotion development that drive product conversions at the point of sale.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications:** * Undergraduate degree, with 2 to 4 years of Channel Marketing experience. * Highly creative individual who sees problems and an opportunity to try something new * Demonstrated experience in marketing material development * Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills. * Aptitude for quantitative analysis, strategic and tactical thinking and detailed planning. * Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills. * Entrepreneurial – Self-motivated, team player, enthusiastic and creative. **Desirable Qualifications:** * MBA with an emphasis in marketing is highly desirable. * An understanding of the landscape irrigation market * International business relations experience. (Bi-lingual a strong plus.)
