Responsibilities
- Developing and executing a social media strategy to grow audience and engagement while ensuring messaging is on-brand and relevant for all entities across multiple channels - Daily posting and proactive relationship-building engagement on all Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest accounts - Daily collaboration with on-property teams’ to post Instagram photos and hands-on proactive relationship-building engagement within the platform - In collaboration with on-property teams, ensure timely, constructive response/action is taken in response to customer feedback/inquiries via social channels - Securing and managing the company’s presence on new social media channels as they emerge - Develop and communicate monthly social media reporting using the Falcon social to track activity/engagement vs. those of our competitive set - Monitor social media booking apps and rate links and use Google Analytics to report monthly on the revenue booked via social channels - Execute social media during hotel events/PR functions and plan and execute virtual and real-world events to drive social media engagement - Represent the company and hotels with social media presence and engagement during community and partner events - Manage social media advertising and work with vendors to create and implement like-growth campaigns as needed - Seek out new and improved strategies for engaging with current and future customers by monitoring social media trends, best practices and innovations - Support hotel direct booking initiatives with on-going and ad-hoc campaigns - Plan, secure and manage accounts for pre-opening or acquisition hotels
Ideal Candidate
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.) and strategies - Previous experience engaging communities with the written word in a creative way - Strong writing and editing skills and a good eye for visual imagery are required; photography and design skills a plus - Ability to develop and maintain relationships e.g., associates, customers, vendors - Strong problem-solving, communication and organizational skills - Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide others when necessary - Good technical understanding and ability to pick up new tools quickly - Knowledge of the principles of SEO, public relations, loyalty programs, marketing, sales or community management experience a plus
