Summary
Seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join our Marketing team. This person will have the exciting opportunity to help build the strategic social media strategy for active Clarus products. This person will be responsible for the consumer facing shopping subscription product, FreeShipping.com, as well as our business account, Clarus Commerce. The ideal candidate should have a passion for all things social media, and is able to balance the need for creativity and an entrepreneurial approach with strategy and discipline. This person will take lead on identifying new brand outreach opportunities and work with the Product team to execute on new initiatives including, but not limited to: influencer networks, brand advocate partnerships, blogger and vlogger opportunities, member communications, contests and giveaways, sponsored affiliate retailer promotions and more. The Social Media Coordinator will report to the Senior Product Manager on the Marketing Team.
Responsibilities
* Create and post engaging social media content on all active handles * Act as brand voice to monitor and engage with social media chatter on a daily basis * Help identify, recommend and create programs and promotions to grow membership and engagement within the social media space * Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to align a larger brand strategy around significant product initiatives for FreeShipping.com * Partner with internal creative teams to develop compelling brand content for social outlets, blogs, infographics and other digital channels * Develop and manage content calendar for FreeShipping.com blog initiatives * Run unique, creative promotions and contests during peak shopping seasons to engage targeted audiences * Manage social media advertising budget and analytics to quantify and qualify the success of each campaign * Assist in managing outreach initiatives to strengthen the brand personality and voice within the industry * Identify new opportunities for brand outreach and work with teams to prioritize and implement * Proactively share issues, observations, opportunities, and insights based on social media monitoring to the organization
Ideal Candidate
* 1-2 years of experience with a background in social media and/or digital marketing * Need a solid understanding of the digital and shopping landscape * Passion for interaction with both the media and consumers * Experience working with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, WordPress and evolving new media platforms * An appreciation for the customer and implements a user-centric approach * A strong communicator, both written and verbal who understands the interaction between strategy, content and audience engagement * Demonstrate proficiency in proofreading and editing materials * Ability to quickly craft ideas and thoughts into any medium * High integrity, energy, and a desire to work in a results-oriented, fast growth environment * Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or similar required
