Summary
Responsible for interpreting and administering complex Human Resources programs and policies in any of the following areas; Communications, Safety, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Development, EEO, Employee Relations, Recruiting and Retention.
Responsibilities
* Handle all areas of recruitment process, including: advertising for job openings; scheduling, screening and interviewing job applicants; administering background, reference checks and provide onboarding. * Ensure the development of job descriptions, job analysis, analyzing salary surveys to monitor internal equity and market competitiveness. * Provide guidance and direction to managers for issue resolution and improved employee performance. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations in a timely manner. * Author wide variety of employee communications. This includes but is not limited to bulletin board postings, brochures, reports, etc. Makes presentations to groups of employees and other customers. Communicates clearly, timely, and effectively with others in Human Resources to ensure organizational credibility. * Coordinate and manage the performance management process, ensuring clear communication to the organization, compliance, consistency and objectivity. * Advocate, promote and effectively manage the site environment, evaluating the site culture and employee relations issues; and ensure that management is aware of and proactively responds to employee engagement issues. * Interpret and ensure compliance and administration of employment laws and policies such as FLSA, FLMA, EEO, Workers Compensation etc. * Identify gaps in existing HR policies and contribute to the development of new HR policies and procedures. * Manage corporate, divisional, business and HR-related projects and initiatives and drive their implementation in alignment with the business strategy. * Partner with employees and management to communicate organizational and Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations. * Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ethics. * Perform related work as assigned.

* Demonstrated success in building effective partnerships * Ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations * Demonstrated analytical skills paired with business acumen * Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills * Track record of demonstrating the capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled * Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and HRIS systems * Knowledge of Federal/State laws as they pertain to human resources administration * Strong conflict resolution skills * Good organizational, planning and follow up skills * Must have the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet expectations for required competencies in position, which includes: 1) safety, health, and environmental awareness, 2) business ethics and compliance, 3) technical/professional competence and quality & time management, 4) interpersonal relations and communication skills, 5) initiative, flexibility, innovation, and adaptability, 6) continuous improvement and problem solving, and 7) planning and organizing.
