Summary
Develops, markets, and manages brand development and business performance to achieve Pharmavite's annual and long-term sales and profitability goals.
Responsibilities
* Achieves results and brings out the best in people by: * Establishing job design and ensuring appropriate staffing to deliver the department's strategy operating plan and short-term objectives. * Communicating department goals and objectives and cascading them to others, ensuring workload is distributed appropriately to achieve goals and objectives. * Maintaining two way dialogues with direct reports on work and results. * Interpreting and ensuring Company policies and procedures are understood and consistently followed by others. * Collaboratively creating development plans and coaching individuals in achieving them. * Working within the people management systems in the Company to develop others (performance management, rewards and selection process); and * Creating an energizing work environment that supports the Company's high performance culture while ensuring an efficient and flexible organization. * Drives business performance including strategy, tactics, revenue and profit objectives and market share. * Leads assigned element(s) of overall brand marketing efforts, including marketing and new product development initiatives * Tracks and analyzes market performance of segment by monitoring sales, distribution, market share, retail consumption, with a bias for driving action to optimize results * Evaluates and actively manages segment portfolio of SKU's to ensure the brand(s) has a highly efficient and productive selection of SKU's. * Drives profitability, including pricing and cost savings. Manages segment P&L's to ensure achievement of sales and profit goals. * Leads business understanding across competition, consumer, customer, and science * Consumer insights * Assortment (national and by key customer) * Claims and regulatory * Leads innovation and renovation efforts within segment, including new forms, counts, and products. Manages development of concept, formula, and packaging for new products. Manages and deploys resources to meet innovation objectives. With sales collaboration, builds segment product leadership at key customers. * Develops and implements effective marketing programs. * Develops and delivers assigned portion of annual marketing plan for brand. Shapes and sets strategy to drive increased growth and profitability for brand and segment. Assesses business needs and opportunities in establishing a vision. * Executes the tactics to ensure that the various strategies outlined in the annual plan are achieved and evaluated for optimal effectiveness. * Works with Shopper Marketing team to provide relevant product & consumer insights that help integrate communication with trade promotion and optimize new product launch plans. * Leads marketing analysis and sales forecast efforts in S&OP process. * Demonstrates passion for the business and achieves results. * Collaborates with cross-functional departments to achieve goals and objectives through teamwork. * Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business or its equivalent. An MBA degree is preferred. **Certification:** * None. **Experience:** * Requires four years marketing management experience with at least three years in consumer packaged goods brand management. Including new product development experience. **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:** **Requires:** * Comprehensive knowledge of brand management, including competitive benchmarking, market research, advertising, promotions, forecasting and pricing. * Ability to provide strategic direction to cross-functional team members. * Ability to manage, lead and develop people. * Extensive experience in P&L, budgeting. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Strong and effective interpersonal skills. **Physical Requirements:** * General office environment, ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to move about an office. * Environment: * Exposure to disagreeable elements is negligible. **Safety:** * The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely without endangering the health or safety of self or others. **Supervisory Responsibility:** * The incumbent has direct supervisory responsibility for one to five employees.
