Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Brand Manager to be a value-added member of our team. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Senior Brand Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans for the Food Away From Home side of the business, which includes convenience stores and food service. This individual is accountable for leading the brand development process through close working relationships with research and development, sales, finance, and operations.
Responsibilities
* Develops and implements marketing strategies and plans to achieve business goals * Leads cross-functional brand and/or project teams to ensure key initiatives are executed with excellence * Manages all aspects of consumer understanding including syndicated data, custom consumer research, product research and market intelligence * Leads development of integrated customer/consumer marketing, including consumer advertising, promotions and public relations communication as needed * Reviews forecasts and adjusts plans as needed to deliver Company objectives * Assists in the development of long-range strategic business plans * Working closely with the Director, Brand Innovation, brings new products to market * Identifies opportunities for product improvements, cost reductions and other ways to improve business practices to ensure the company is maximizing volume and profit opportunities * Prepares business goals and marketing plans for new product/line introductions * Manages website content and evolution * Participates in customer presentations as appropriate * Working closely with the Director of Trade Marketing, facilitates the gathering of ongoing competitive intelligence and translates that information into appropriate competitive responses, including trade spending recommendation and category management sales presentations * Working with the Director of Trade Marketing, incorporates consumer insights/research into category management sales presentations
Ideal Candidate
* MBA in Marketing or related field * Minimum of five years of CPG marketing/brand management experience * Food Service/C Store channel experience preferred * Experience managing projects and/or leading a team in a cross-functional environment * Very strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to prioritize projects and produce high quality/quantity output * Strong quantitative and analytical skills * Strong strategic thinking skills * Experience managing third party agencies and suppliers * Financial awareness, including P&L understanding * Ability to interact with and influence senior decision makers in the organization * Ability to travel throughout North America * Entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to get results, a self-starter * Ability to make strong, independent judgements * Ability to organize/prioritize workloads and meet deadlines * Ability to listen and incorporate others' points of view, a true team player
