Summary
Supports execution of business strategy via application of HR processes and tools throughout organization. Serves as the primary contact for the VP, Regional Operations and their District Managers for consultative HR support. Work is both consultative and process-focused and provides human resources leadership, services and tools that help lead to the successful achievement of business goals. In addition, the position exercises judgment and exerts influence on relevant objectives and balances short-term and long-range goals of the organization. Develops solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity while managing precedents; works independently. Typically an individual contributor role, this position manages execution and change through others and requires minimal direction by HR management.
Responsibilities
* Coach and consult with field leaders on issues affecting morale, performance, development, workforce planning and region effectiveness. Gather and analyze fact-based information to identify trends or patterns, determine root causes, arrive at valid conclusions and recommend appropriate plans of action. * Provide guidance on, and help conduct, the investigation of complex complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications or organization exposure; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on established practice. Work with state and federal agencies as needed to ensure compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations. * Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with organizational leaders in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance, such as changes in structure, competency deployment, policies, performance, development, 360o feedback and succession tools/processes. * Partner with senior field leadership in developing strategic workforce plans, which may include the reallocation or reduction of staff. Facilitate talent review and succession planning discussions, including career pathing and retention of top performers. Provide guidance on calibration that occurs throughout the year and resulting performance feedback/coaching provided to employees. * Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide strategic staffing and recruitment consultation; may assist in identifying, interviewing and selecting qualified candidates for senior/critical positions. * Conduct gap analyses and collaborate with Performance, Learning & Development to ensure appropriate career development programs and initiatives are aligned with critical skill development and succession planning for field associates/positions. * Provide strategic direction, reinforcement and coaching to ensure alignment between field objectives and sustained, consistent utilization of company rewards programs. **Supervisory Responsibility:** None **Work Environment:** * Most tasks are performed while seated indoors at a personal computer. Day and overnight domestic travel is required periodically throughout the year to attend conferences and meet with key stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate
**Education and Experience:** Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related filed and minimum of 8 years experience in Human Resources with diversified experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. HR Certification (PHR or SPHR) preferred. Full knowledge of legal implications of the employment relationship and a thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards. Well developed talent to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact. Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills. Must have demonstrated success to lead, influence and persuade divergent and diverse groups with the ability to adapt style to all levels of management and employees Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees. Excellent project management skills along with negotiation, mediation, and conflict management skills.
