Controller with Manufacturing Accounting Experience

This position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, cash management, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

* Oversees the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements, annual audits and budgets. * Oversees the activities of the disbursement function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, petty cash, employee expense reports and cash control. * Oversees the activities of the accounts receivable function to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc., resolve delinquent accounts receivable and shorten payment cycle. * Assures income tax compliance by accurately and timely completing all income tax returns and taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes. * Establishes and maintains systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data to enhance the company's value. * Reconciles accounts with Battice (Belgium) office quarterly. * Performs currency conversion on transactions with Battice office and adjusts books accordingly. * Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compiles a variety of special reports. * Performs other duties which may be required by supervisor.

* Four year college degree in Accounting or a related field. * At least 7 years of accounting experience, with 2 years as an Accounting Manager or Controller with supervisory responsibility. * Accounting experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is strongly preferred. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to meet deadlines, analyze numbers and meet deadlines. * Working knowledge of an ERP system. * Experience working with an international division is desired.
