Production Accountant

West Liberty Foods, headquartered in West Liberty, Iowa is a recognized leader in the food industry and one of North America’s top protein processors. Production Accountant is responsible for analysis and reconciliation of yield, productivity and inventory.

• Perform daily, weekly, monthly yield and productivity variance reconciliation and analysis.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory at both the facility and outside cold storage facilities.
• Assist the Plant Controller with weekly and monthly closing duties
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by management, operations and other support departments.
• Become efficient with ERP and report writing software.
• Entry of certain daily inventory and labor transactions.
• Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency and cost.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Partner with all departments of the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 1 to 2 years of related experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous manufacturing accounting experience is beneficial.
• Computer experience - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) or Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Knowledge of Kronos or other timekeeping system a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends according to schedule.
• Coaching and performance management experience is a plus.
