Summary
You will be the driving force behind one of the core values of our company and the unique quality that sets us apart from the rest: Innovation. From understanding what consumers want and category whitespace opportunities to ideating cutting edge products that address unmet consumer needs to developing the product brief, you will lead a cross-functional team that will keep the innovation pipeline filled and keep us at the top of our game.
Responsibilities
- You will partner with outside agencies to conduct consumer research to inform our ideation and decision-making - You will analyze market data and identify opportunities for our brands to participate in new categories - You will lead the team in ideating and prioritizing new product concepts - You will test product concepts with consumers and develop top-testing product concepts into product briefs, soliciting inputs from multiple sources - You will ensure that there are multiple, viable products and product lines in the pipeline for across several, future launch periods - You will provide input to the overall marketing plan in order to ensure that new product launches are successful - You will oversee the stage gate process, ensuring that milestones are met and communicating progess updates with various parts of the organization
Ideal Candidate
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field of study; MBA is a plus - Has at least ­­­5-7 years of experience in Marketing with the majority of that being responsible for new product launches in Consumer Packaged Goods - Is creative and loves to brainstorm new and exciting ideas that can be successfully brought to market - Is organized and can manage a significant number of moving pieces - Has an analytical side that can shine through when looking to understand market research or produce financial forecasts and P&Ls - Has an eye for good design - Has a “can do” attitude, is collaborative, and can be scrappy in a resource-constrained environment
