Technical Business Analyst for Product

The Technical Business Analyst position is responsible for helping the Product team gather requirements, research, and define business problems and needs. The Technical Business Analyst will help with quality testing, proving out new product designs, removing roadblocks for developers, troubleshooting, creating product documentation, and conducting relevant technical training. They will work closely with customers, Product Leadership and the Engineering team to gather and write requirements and see through development through acceptance testing. Additionally the Technical Business Analyst will assist in statistical modeling leveraging the G5 data resources.

* Support the Product Managers in the requirements process for a project * Understand the features, business case and deliverables for a project * Understand other products in the marketplace including their features and functions * Define and document technical requirements * Create page designs/mockups, data mapping, and data modelingto support development activities as necessary * Work closely and effectively with engineering to provide guidance on implementation of requirements * Help guide the testing process to ensure successful releases of new and updated features * Drive user and acceptance testing of new products * Handle technical support triage including analyzing internal and external clients’ questions and support incidents, retrieving raw data from vendor applications, and determining solution via setup, data changes, and/or translating support incidents into workable stories for developers * Work with Engineers to answer questions and be available in order to remove roadblocks for completing stories * Perform thorough, detailed website analysis, identifying current problems and opportunities, with a focus on SEO crawlability, site architecture and site content * Support internal staff with training, mentoring, and communication of feature and setup specifics * Help to define concepts under the direction of Product Line Managers and Senior Technical Product Managers * Exemplifies G5 Core Values and Behaviors

* A BA or BS degree (or equivalent) * 5+ Years of experience in applied inferential statistics and/or analytics * Experience with the Agile Software development lifecycle, including analyzing requirements along with writing, reviewing, and testing software * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts * Experience in delivery of technical subject matter verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences both technical and non-technical * Experience with technical project management * Familiarity with web services concepts including XML, SOAP, REST * Hands-on experience with SQL * A good understanding of database architecture, software and database management systems * Extensive experience with of R, H2O, Spark * Experience using prototyping tools as a method to deliver requirements, such as Moqups and Photoshop * Comfort in managing multiple, high-priority projects * Track record of being a results-driven self-starter who can dig for answers when there is no one to ask
