Summary
The IT Business Analyst/Project Manager has responsibility for supporting the application development and support process as a liaison between the user community and the development team.
Responsibilities
* Act as the focal point for all interactions with internal business customers * Validate, clarify and specify all enhancement and project requests from customers * Manage the larger efforts of projects as necessary * Ensure overall effectiveness of IT solutions in the areas of day-to-day operations, user support, new enhancements, break-fix, testing and reporting * Manage the relationships with internal customers * Gather and record business requirements that must be met by IT solutions * Translate business requirements into functional requirements * Work with the development team to create the solution that meets all requirements * Test all new solutions against requirements and performance objectives * Review new solutions with users and manage the User Acceptance process * Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting * Manage the change recording and tracking process, including new requests and break-fix * Manage the incident investigation and resolution process * Create activity, performance and problem reporting and review with internal customers on a regular basis
Ideal Candidate
* The ideal candidate will have a bachelor degree and an educational background typically found in MIS programs. * The successful candidate will also have 8 or more years’ experience actively performing some or all of the responsibilities specified in this job description. **Specific knowledge, skills and abilities include:** * Experience supporting IT application systems * Experience in internal customer-facing roles * Experience managing small to medium-sized projects * Must have ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences * Ability and willingness to create necessary documentation related to application development and support * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required * Understanding of IT technology at a conceptual level * Must have a professional manner and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships * Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills * Past experience demonstrating aptitude for learning new technologies
