Summary
As a Senior Business Process Specialist you will assist dealers and internal Caterpillar users by acting as the liaison between ISand various worldwide business units in the development, modification and useof Opportunity Management systems. Specific focusis on defining objectives and methods related to processes used by the businessunit as this relates to information systems usage. To develop andprovide worldwide functional customer support,problem identification and resolution for IT solutions and to develop businesstransformation processes. The Senior Business Process Specialist contributes to this mission byproviding advanced quantitative analysis,communication, and data management skills to multi-person teams tasked to driveOpportunity Management Systems usage to identify and close opportunity events.
Responsibilities
* Gather,document, and maintain business procedures and guidelines * Gather information to understand root cause and impact of dealer data issues, supportDeployment consultants, data structure team and dealer. Partner with CentralOpportunity Management team and Deployment team to be the primary source for in-region dealers regardingsystems data issues, data quality, and analytics * Definedocumentation, procedures and training guidelines for dealer personnel to befully effective in both existing and future applications * Communicate enhancement requests for system releases on behalf of thedealers. * Providesupport in creating and presenting system change requests, testing, validation,and training * Leadimprovement projects of functional support processes. Maintaining high visibility to end-users withthe goal to consult on process options and head off potential IT solutionproblems * Providein region customer support for implemented solutions * Assistsdealers and internal business partners in obtaining answers to process related questions from theglobal Process Owners and global customers * Demonstrate excellent communication skills,be able to explain conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership * Have a good understanding oflead generation and sales funnel management and understand commercially how toembed the Opportunity Management application into these processes at the dealerships * Demonstrated ability to translate data analysis into business recommendation.Problems and issues faced by this position have a variety of interpretations,and require careful evaluation and reference to a large number of options. Position involves understanding and takinginitiative with problems or situations that are unique or may significantlyaffect business results.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree, preferably in IT, Statistics, Economics and Analytics * 7 to 12 years of progressively responsible job-related experience * Broad background in systems development for customer applications * Strong diagnostic and analytical skills * Familiar with computer hardware and interfacing of hardware as well as the various programming languages used at Caterpillar. * Advanced skills with MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint; SQL, and a statistics package like SAS, SPSS, or MiniTab * Good human relation skills **Desired Qualifications:** * Recognized for expertise in business unit goals and proficiency in the processes performed by the customers they represent * Knowledge of data visualization tools such asCognos, or Tableau is a plus.
