Summary
Responsible for ensuring that all Neustar Sales Professionals have thorough knowledge of the services, can effectively use closing skills, overcome objections, and use consultative selling tactics. The trainer should be considered a resource for the entire sales team, as well as the sales managers and leadership team. The sales trainer should conduct ongoing training for all skill levels, including entry-level sales skills, as well as advanced sales approaches. Through education, observation, mentorship and motivation, the Sales Trainer will assure success of individual and sales department objectives.
Responsibilities
**Training Development** * Understands the importance of high-impact training in order to develop effective training programs. * Provide continuing education and ongoing training for new and existing sales team members. * Work one-on-one with sales managers to develop and reinforce skills and service knowledge * Utilize established curriculum and assist in developing new educational materials * Determine training needs by participating with sales representatives; observing sales encounters; studying sales results and working with sales managers to refine training needs. * Identify, select and manage external training and educational opportunities to complement in-house provided training and education. * Facilitating learning related to our technology and total suite of service offerings in addition to professional selling skills, our sales process, and information about our clients and the industry * Utilizing a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training program and sales force * Collaborating with existing subject matter experts on upcoming services, in order to contribute to the design and maintenance of training programs * Monitoring and measuring effectiveness of all sales training **Training Delivery** * Conduct training sessions and hands-on instruction as needed * Plan and deliver training courses personally where necessary to augment that provided by others. * Organize training venues & logistics * Ability to travel to various corporate locations to deliver training as needed
Ideal Candidate
* Successful track record of sales training experience (6+ years experience) * High level knowledge of Technology buyers, needs and problems * High level knowledge of Cyber Security Industry (DDoS attacks, DNS routing, website performance, etc.) preferred * Must have excellent problem solving, decision making, and creative thinking skills * Must be a team player with the personal drive, passion and enthusiasm to excel in a fast-growing company * Information services sales experience preferred * BA/BS Degree in Adult Education, Psychology, Marketing, Business, Communications or related field * Demonstrated experience in instructional design methods, adult learning theories, training assessment and evaluation, training delivery and facilitation, web-based/virtual training. * Demonstrated personal drive and sense of urgency, results-driven, meticulous attention to detail.
