Summary

Manage and coordinate logistic and supply chain function, including but not limited to, acquisition, material management, and distribution/transportation to meet the business requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and work within corporate strategies, policy frameworks and designs, and implement logistic and supply chain strategies, as set by corporate policies to meet both short and long term goals.
  • Manage the purchasing of materials and equipment to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimal cost.
  • Manage, develop, implement and monitor all logistic activities required for timely and efficient transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials and distribution of products.
  • Ensures the integration of sales forecasting, purchasing, production control, traffic and warehousing to support a client’s operation and optimize costs
  • Review, analyze, evaluate and recommend long and short range budget plans, managing the site P & L in conjunction with upper leadership
  • Manages and motivates subordinate staff, reviews, and assesses performance, supports their professional development to optimize their contribution
  • Manage facility of less than 250 employees
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University
  • 8-12 years’ relevant experience
  • 3-5 years’ management experience
  • Warehouse experience
  • Logistics experience
  • Six Sigma experience

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas.
  • Advanced knowledge of computerized applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email).
