Summary
Manage and coordinate logistic and supply chain function, including but not limited to, acquisition, material management, and distribution/transportation to meet the business requirements.
Responsibilities
* Manage and work within corporate strategies, policy frameworks and designs, and implement logistic and supply chain strategies, as set by corporate policies to meet both short and long term goals. * Manage the purchasing of materials and equipment to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimal cost. * Manage, develop, implement and monitor all logistic activities required for timely and efficient transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials and distribution of products. * Ensures the integration of sales forecasting, purchasing, production control, traffic and warehousing to support a client’s operation and optimize costs * Review, analyze, evaluate and recommend long and short range budget plans, managing the site P & L in conjunction with upper leadership * Manages and motivates subordinate staff, reviews, and assesses performance, supports their professional development to optimize their contribution * Manage facility of less than 250 employees
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University * 8-12 years’ relevant experience * 3-5 years’ management experience * Warehouse experience * Logistics experience * Six Sigma experience **Key Skills and Competencies** * Ability to work in a fast paced environment. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas. * Advanced knowledge of computerized applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email).
