Summary
Imagine being a part of a small, dynamic Financial Planning and Analysis team focused on the Test Division of MTS. The initial emphasis of this role will be maintaining and improving revenue and margin reporting and analysis that drive day-to-day and long term decision making. Keys to success of this position include the ability to simultaneously use strong analytical and communication skills while leveraging an impressive technical skill set.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver reporting and analysis to drive functional management decision making and performance measurement. - Partner with accounting team and utilize various data sources to verify accuracy of project revenue and margin results and lead resolution of any discrepancies. - Develop thorough understanding of MTS financial structure and accounting methods as part of delivering accurate Gross Margin variability analysis. - Influence investment decisions by creating analysis methods and reports to fully understand and effectively communicate product line profitability. - Utilize existing tools and partner with IT to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of financial and operational reports. - Apply professional skepticism to review and analyze the appropriateness and reasonableness of existing methods and processes. - Create NPV analyses by gathering estimates, mining data, presenting analysis results, and monitoring progress toward investment objectives. - Demonstrate ethical responsibility and accountability for the integrity and reliability of data, analysis, and reporting.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelors degree. - Minimum of five years of Finance experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Bachelors degree in Business (Accounting or Finance emphasis) preferred. - Hyperion, SAP, and Business Warehouse experience are a plus. - Advanced Excel skills - formulas, tables, structure, and design for scalability, repeatability, and automation. - Ability to create advanced financial models with limited direction or background knowledge of underlying business initiative - Excellent technical accounting skills and knowledge of computer based financial applications. - Strong communication and time management skills; Comfortable managing competing priorities with tight deadlines. - Demonstrated ability to accomplish broadly defined objectives with minimal direction, exercising creativity, initiative and good business judgement. - Proven success improving processes and analysis methods. - Strong Business Acumen.
