Summary
The Finance Manager provides financial, analytical and decision support to the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) primarily for Nplate and Imlygic, within Global Commercial Operations – Financial Planning and Analysis (FPandA).
Responsibilities
* Support the monthly close, sales and expense forecasting, annual and long-range planning activities for Nplate, Imlygic, and the OBU * Develop an in-depth understanding of the thrombocytopenia and melanoma markets, current competitive environment, and key revenue and cost drivers * Clearly communicate financial implications of the changing pricing and reimbursement environment, build effective relationships with the business unit leadership, and analyze and clearly communicate financial results to business partners and peers * Directly support and interface with OBU and GCO Finance leadership, as well as the Nplate and Imlygic Brand and Sales Teams * Frequent interaction with numerous additional functions including Pricing / Contracting, BAI, Forecasting, Sales Operations, OBU finance team, OBU finance team, Corporate FPandA, and Investor Relations * Perform financial modeling, preparation and presentation of results and ideas to senior management and performing regular account analysis to anticipate and resolve issues * Provide leadership and key support on multiple projects * Manage and lead cross-functional teams * Formulate and clearly deliver complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and oral presentations to Senior Management * Develop and use complex business and financial models to make decisions
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Doctorate degree; OR Master’s degree and 2 years of Finance experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Finance experience; OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of Finance experience; OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Finance experience **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's Degree and 3+ years Biotech finance experience with exposure to sales and marketing function * Solid understanding of forecasting, long-range planning, budgeting, and business partnering * Experience supporting sales and marketing functions * Ability to support two product launches * Experienced and well-rounded finance executive with a strong finance and analytical foundation * Solid leadership and presentation skills, as well as outstanding communication capabilities * Strong business acumen and confident dealing with and influencing all levels of management within an organization * Excellent analytical and math skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point * Overall knowledge of financial systems and tools (e.g. SAP, Contributor, etc.)
