The company became famous for its bleu cheese dressing and, as a result, expanded into the retail market with a multitude of dressings and sauces, veggie and fruit dips, caramel dip, instantly fresh herbs, cheese, apple cider and more.

Summary

The Assistant Business Manager will act as a primary support for the Value-Added team, assisting with project management, sales support and analysis, and provide in-house assistance to the Value Added and Club sales team.

Responsibilities

Guiding Principles-Culture- Service:

  • Responsible for driving the Litehouse culture through company guiding principles
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships through collaboration and consistent timely communication
  • Help uphold a “Team Member” environment supporting others with positive behavior
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality guidelines

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of project plans and closely monitor to ensure timelines and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate times and procedures to ensure allotment of available resources to move projects toward completion.
  • Identify current project status, develop and communicate next steps and expectations.
  • Regularly review project progress, prepare status reports and modify schedules or plans as needed and communicate changes to appropriate business partners.
  • Assist project team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Act as first point of contact for Customer Service on pricing and part code questions.
  • Coordinate technical specifications with Research & Development.
  • Monitor and review sales reports regularly, providing feedback and recommendations to appropriate business partner.
  • Ensure all Value-Added projects are entered and regularly updated in Share Point
  • Enter sample requests as needed; ensure product is available or work closely with Research & Development to create new product.
  • Manage all sample requests to be delivered to appropriate internal or external business partner.
  • Maintain data entry for all new projects and Research & Development requests.
  • Maintain pricing quotes and manage pricing data base.
  • Enter nutritional requests for sales team as needed and requested.
  • Assist with label changes and ingredient updates as needed.
  • Maintain new item part code set up and nutritionals.
  • Act as back-up support for Value-Added team as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate

Education/Experience/Certifications

BA/BS Business, Marketing or Related Field or 3+ years of directly related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience using Share Point, Adobe, Business Objects and CDC/Smart Client ROSS
  • Able to compute basic mathematical calculations
  • Familiar with current pricing to assist in estimated pricing for customers who need quick turnaround
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write basic correspondence
  • Good communication and customer relations skills
  • Able to build custom reports used for analysis of pricing and sales

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear
  • Regularly required to talk or hear and taste or smell
  • Rarely required to lift/move/push/pull up to 55 pounds with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities require close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Some overnight travel may be required.
