Lincoln Center Digital is a new group at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. We are focused on developing one of a kind, unique consumer experiences online, on mobile devices and physically across our 16-acre campus. We are a dynamic and energetic in-house digital group looking to push boundaries in the digital space. Digital video content is an important part of our strategy which is why we have an Emmy award-winning short-form video department that also captures live-streams of many of our performances across the year. The Manager of Digital Video Distribution has the incredible opportunity to build relationships with a range of different video platforms (Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, etc.) and relevant online content companies to distribute our original short-form videos and livestreams.
Lincoln Center’s digital strategy is stretching beyond selling tickets. We are building the premiere digital place to experience the arts through video, editorial content, live-streaming, original forms of digital storytelling and even VR/AR. We are looking for a talented Manager of Video Distribution to help break boundaries and intersect with consumers who are passionate about the performing arts nationally and around the world by distributing Lincoln Center content to new and larger audiences beyond the visitors to our website.
Developing relationships with a wide range of content companies and video distribution platforms will enable the world to experience Lincoln Center without ever visiting our campus. We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging manager who can create and nurture relationships across many genres of content such as classical, folk, rock and Broadway music, dance, opera and theater. This position will report directly to Lincoln Center’s Chief Digital Officer.
- Research content partners across a broad range of performing arts genres
- Develop and nurture relationships with potential partners for distributing our videos to a larger audience
- Work with Lincoln Center’s Content, PR, Marketing and video production teams to coordinate and plan content distribution calendar
- Prepare reports from analytics of the reach of our videos and potential revenue
- Create and execute a strategy to begin to monetize some of our original content and performance captures
- Work and coordinate with our rights management team to ensure that rights are cleared for different distribution platforms
- Collaborate on managing our new video portal/platform launching in April that will be in sync with our YouTube network
- Work with our corporate sponsorship team to help inspire sponsors to fund video captures and original series
- 4-5 years of professional experience in content distribution
- Strong relationship building skills and excelling negotiating skills
- Experienced at understanding and reporting on analytics
- Versed in working with content management systems for editing and uploading content
- Excellent research skills in finding new partners with whom to collaborate
- Good organization and project management skills with the ability to juggle many initiatives at once
- Good proposal writing skills
- Experience in concepting video ideas for specific partners and for creating addictive video experiences for Lincoln Center patrons
