Summary
The Product Management team plans and manages digital products such as campaign websites or mobile apps through the product development life cycle from conception to marketing, launch, and beyond. The fellowship will provide the opportunity to learn about the product/project management process and what goes into making a web product successful.
Responsibilities
* Pulling and compiling analytics, requesting other data from the social and digital engagement teams * Maintaining internal team website * Researching new web technologies, platforms, and products; organizing and compiling findings * Assisting with infrastructure development, e.g. migrating existing sites to Drupal or creating sitemaps * Providing training and assistance to staff on using our content management system * Assisting the team with managing smaller products or enhancements, including planning, documentation, testing, and reporting * Other tasks as assigned and day-to-day support service for Digital Product Team and other Digital Strategies staff as needed * Guided professional development to build your skill set, including basic knowledge of project management tasks, office communication skills (including writing and presenting), digital literacy, and more.
Ideal Candidate
* Current college student or recent graduate * Strong written and oral communication skills * Ability to work independently, good time management * Closely follows emerging web, technology, and social media trends * Familiarity with Gmail, Google Drive, Analytics, and other Google tools is helpful though not required * Experience publishing content on the web (via a blog, website, social media channels, Tumblr, Medium, etc.) is also helpful * Duration: Flexible schedule, minimum 10 hours per week, 12-15 weeks. Please indicate whether you are applying for spring (roughly January-April), summer (June-August), or fall (September-December).

Working Conditions

Location: Oakland, California or Washington, D.C. Duration: Flexible schedule, minimum 10 hours per week, 12-15 weeks.
