Summary
Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead and coordinate all domestic and Canadian sales related activities for the development and business growth within its Commercial Vehicle Products Group headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We’re looking for a proven leader to guide, coach, and set goals for sales reps to achieve both professional growth and job-specific improvements. The successful candidate will act on the voice of the customer feedback and provide sales and customer service oversight.
Responsibilities
* Supports the Strategic Planning process with accountability for achievement of revenue & margin goals. * Prepares annual sales budgets and needed monthly forecasts. * Provides input and support to the company’s leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations and partnership arrangements. Acts as key liaison for strategic partners. * Provide oversight and guidance for pricing, fleet bidding and customer contract negotiation activities * Builds, develops and manages sales / distributor leadership team capable of carrying out needed sales strategies and improving client relations. * Oversees the Client Relations (Fleet Customer Service) team. * Work with marketing to create a forward strategy to advance the brand and provides input and support for marketing creative and collateral needs. * Shared oversight of fleet management company (FMC) relationships and aftermarket OEM relationships including ship thru / pool applications and agreements * Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. * Minimum of 2 years GVWR class 1-3 van interiors or truck body and equipment industry experience * Minimum of 2 years management experience * Ability to lead people and get results through others. * Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-3 year time span. * Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. * Technical skills in business and market development, market research and planning. * Strong customer orientation. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills.
