Summary
Leggett & Platt, Incorporated, an S&P 500 company is seeking a driven, customer-focused Business Development Manager to be responsible for the management of regional sales within the European market for the Aerospace Business Unit. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to leverage all products to develop new opportunities across new and existing customer bases. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly resourceful, self-motivated, and engaged individual to join a leading company in the US and around the world. The position will report directly to the Business Unit Vice President of Sales.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing regional growth plans - Overseeing and managing customer expectations - Building relationships with major aerospace customers in the region, with a focus on securing new business at new accounts - Providing accurate new business opportunity forecasts - Conducting sales analysis to increase business growth for the company - Working side by side with branch sales teams to build sales territories while cultivating strategic relationships with current key customers - Maintaining up to date knowledge of industry trends and developments that affect current customers, identify opportunities and target markets
Ideal Candidate
**Requirements:** - Bachelor’s degree in business or related field - Minimum 8-10 years of aerospace sales experience - Experience in aerospace tubes, ducting and fabrication preferred. - Proven sales and marketing success - 50% travel **Desired Skills:** - Product knowledge in aircraft systems, tubes and ducts, metal forming and fabricating - Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including public speaking and presentation skills - Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and build a strong team - Ability to speak English, French, and German
