Summary
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining a community for our website users through Facebook, Twitter and other appropriate social media platforms. It is not a management position. We’re looking for the person who can
Responsibilities
* Strategize, monitor and optimize social media campaigns, tweaking them daily. * Secure increased engagement levels from our communities on multiple platforms. * Explore other social media platforms to reach and engage our target audience. * Capitalize on trending topics. * Be a superb communicator on multiple social media platforms for branding, business and community development purposes. * Serve as an authority on social media, responding to our users when they raise questions, suggestions or issues on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other social media platforms. * Create daily written and visually innovative content appropriate for each social media platform to increase exposure, engagement, brand recognition and lead generation among our followers. * Create monthly social media campaigns and enroll the help of designers, content writers or others on the team. * Take a lead role in company social media directives and develop them as trends and business purposes dictate. * Analyze social media performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. * Develop leads through organic posts. * Gain and maintain authority status as a social media leader beyond Launch That, including staying updated on social media and SEO trends through industry news outlets, webinars and local organizations. * Deliver consistent and accurate feedback on periodic social media analyses. * ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Create and manage a social media calendar. * Work a full-time shift Monday through Friday and also be available to respond to social media queries on nights and weekends when needed. * Drive initiatives and execute tasks to completion while working independently. * Lead team and company in social media idea generation * Participate in content development, including writing blog posts * Produce monthly e-newsletters. * Hold monthly or bi-monthly meetings with content team on new and relevant social media tactics. * Identify technological and personnel needs to push social media strategies forward. * Embraces change willingly. * Communicate clearly and work collaboratively. * Prioritize according to team and company goals.
Ideal Candidate
* A four-year degree with a concentration in marketing, English, journalism and/or technical writing * Excellent speller * Two years of experience in social media marketing or web marketing. * Proficient in paid and organic social media marketing and analytics on Facebook. * Understanding social media algorithms. * Background in lead generation and inbound marketing. * Knowledge of Google Analytics. * Active presence on social media with a command of each network and their best practices. * Own a personal website or blog. * Knowledge of basic HTML. * Experience with SEO and willingness to learn more about it * Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, Gmail, Google docs and other Google apps * Fundamental Adobe Photoshop skills * Willingness to take direction and find creative ways to improve on that direction * Self-starter who understands direction and then runs fast * Competitive drive and a desire to win * Willingness to work, learn and share with peers, managers and executives * Willingness to communicate with people on other teams * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English * Strong organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented * Desire to work hard and play hard * Must be able to continuously see. Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, view computer monitors, type, give and receive spoken communication, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level and discern color and make fine discriminations in sound. * Must be able to regularly lift or carry up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift or carry up to 20 lbs. * Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing and pulling on a frequent basis. * Must be able to travel as required for company business. * Must be able to work a varied schedule when needed that could include nights, weekends and holidays.
