Responsibilities
The Marketing Coordinator is a junior-level SEO position responsible for the lead development and functionality of one or more website(s). The position reports directly to the Director of Marketing. It carries minimal management responsibilities and has no direct reports. The position requires a beginning foundation of SEO knowledge and a dedication to carrying out the principles and standards of the company. It is not a management position - Implement an organic, white-hat search strategy that aligns with the goals of the Marketing Director. - Ensure all Web pages are of high quality: contain little to no duplicate content; have layouts that do not break; are optimized for conversion; ensure that user intent is satisfied on every page - Ensure SERPs display pages correctly, including displace of rich snippets, meta tags and authorship - Ensure consistency of design, development and content by understanding HTML code and common design trends and practices - Ensure all web pages are friendly for search bots to crawl with reduced page-load time, have easy-to-navigate breadcrumbs, have a clean URL structure, use proper indexation tags and have proper pagination. - Track visitor traffic/experience/comments/feedback metrics, etc., to determine the effectiveness of new features - Measure performance of marketing strategies - Formulate, implement and being accountable for short- and long-term content strategies that align with the marketing and content departments - Working with Design and Content departments to build engaging, performing and ever-improving landing pages - Set priorities for Design, Content, Social Media and Dev departments related to your site(s) - Continue education on the latest SEO trends, strategies and tactics related to search and organic growth - Work in a CMS to update any and all pages on your site(s) - Collaborate with SEO Specialist to ask questions and brainstorm with the idea of ensuring we are a leader in our space(s) **Additional Responsibilities** - Monitor phone call and form fill-out lead quantity and quality - Quality control all blog posts, news, evergreen pages, graphics, photos and videos - Monitor and evaluate any ongoing A/B tests - Update keyword rankings for your site(s) - Use tools (Webmasters Tools, Screaming Frog, et al) to monitor site performance and to troubleshoot - Attend department meetings (Operations, Design, Development, Content, Social Media)
Ideal Candidate
- Four-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field - A passion for organic (SEO) marketing and a desire to win - Proven work ethic - Proven ability to combine and manipulate data from multiple sources to analyze and interpret business performance - Strong analytical and organizational skills. - Detail- oriented - Ability to communicate and work collaboratively - Ability to self-manage, drive initiatives and execute tasks to completion - Talent for prioritizing - Willingness to embrace change **Preferred** - At least one (1) year of experience with organic marketing - At least six months of experience with Launch That so that there is an understanding of how we like to market – and how we do not. - Intermediate-level HTML and CSS knowledge - Highly proficient in Excel and proficient in other MS Office products
