Summary
The Customer Marketing Manager will lead the development of Customer Specific Marketing programs with Key retailers. The Customer Marketing Manager will plan, develop and maintain account relationships that will add value for Retailers by coordinating & synchronizing the utilization of company resources. This position is also responsible for flawlessly executing marketing programs and promotions, creating relevant selling materials, turning menu/consumer trend insights into actionable tactics; developing custom sales presentations; and marketing communication. The key accountabilities for this position are as follows
Responsibilities
* Coordinate Activation of annual marketing programs and promotions; collaborating with internal channel partners, cross-functional teams and agencies to deliver high impact programs, drive promotions and selling tools * Leverage industry, channel and consumer insights/trends to develop compelling selling stories, training materials, etc. * Create and publish relevant internal communications in a timely manner * Collaborate with retail marketing partners to ensure brand integrity across business channels, delivery of consistent brand messaging and effective implementation of marketing assets * Perform ongoing business analysis and create recommendations for marketing mix elements and other business building initiatives that drive the performance of Smithfield Brands & Key Retailers * Develop training materials to support sales (videos, training presentations, etc.) * Manage relationships with agency partners and other key vendors * Participate in and lead sales meetings and customer presentations * Assist in developing and executing customer plans; maintains account relationships * Fiscally accountable for managing within an assigned budget
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business or related field from a regionally accredited college or university. * MBA from a regionally accredited college or university preferred * At least five years of related professional experience * Strategic thinking ability with emphasis on sound tactical decision making * Strong attention to detail with good business acumen * Strong ability to prioritize and manage/lead multiple projects simultaneously * Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers and partners * Demonstrates sense of urgency * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, decision-making and negotiation skills * Proven ability to build and maintain strong, effective relationship with customers and functional groups. * Travel up to 50% may be required
