Responsibilities
* Candidates will be responsible for performing monthly closing processes and general ledger reconciliations. * You will also assist or prepare quarterly and annual statutory statement, including footnotes. * Other responsibilities include assisting with requests from external auditors as well as state premium tax returns and regulatory filings.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting * A minimum of 1 years' experience in a Life Insurance carrier setting * Experience in preparation of bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end financial closing * Understanding of statutory accounting principles and statutory financial statements filings * Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products * Experience with computerized general ledger systems
