Summary
As a Senior Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements and other financial reports. You will also assume responsibility for compiling and analyzing financial information for the company as well.
Responsibilities
* Provide analysis and reports to company management * Propose suggestions regarding financial matters/observations that may affect other departments and process improvement * Coordinate, review, and analyze financial statements, footnote disclosures, reports, calculations and analyses * Identify trends and developments and communicate them to management * Monitor results of financial data against budget * Create and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual reports and ensure all financial information has been accurately recorded * Develop integrated revenue/expense analysis, projections, reports and presentations * Plan and ensure that all task/project deadlines are met accordingly * Collaborate with internal and external auditors as applicable * Perform ad hoc duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four year college or university preferred * 2-4 years of experience in accounting or related arena * A solid understanding of accounting concepts which you are readily able to apply * Exceptional analytical and problem solving talent * Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication * An eye for details and organization * Ability to work and think independently or in a group * Self-prioritization and multitasking proficiencies are highly desirable * Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook * Thorough knowledge of GAAP/SEC and Statutory Insurance accounting methods, principles, procedures and requirements of accounting systems
