Under general direction, the corporate staff accountant provides support for day-to-day banking and liquidity needs; cash positioning for operational accounts; provides support for daily banking operations; handles electronic payment processing; performs bank account and assist in house system reconciliation.
- Prepare journal entries and make proper accruals in the general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with preparation of financial statements/management reports for each business units and General Partnerships.
- Assist with the preparation of accurate and complete audit packages and provide timely, complete and accurate responses to external auditor’s questions or requests for information.
- Assist with research on variance analysis.
- Provide tax preparers with accounting information requested for income tax return preparation.
- Bring any accounting/auditing issues to the assistance controller’s attention.
- Communicate with other departments to clear receivables and payables from the books.
- Undertake other assigned duties from time-to-time.
- 2 years public or corporate accounting experience
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively

- Ability to prioritize deadlines
- Should possess a strong team-oriented work ethic and energy

Compensation: Competitive – based on experience.
