Summary
As an Earned Online Marketing Manager at Intercom’s San Francisco office you will work in a fast-paced startup environment which demands the ability to execute independently on a variety of tasks. This is a cross-functional role that will require a strong analytical mindset, online marketing campaign experience and healthy doses of creativity and tenacity. We’re in the early days of building a demand generation machine for educating and acquiring customers—this role will play a critical part of spurring Intercom’s growth. An Earned Online Marketing Manager at Intercom should have the experience of having managed organic online promotion before, yet eager to learn more and experiment with the bleeding edge of unpaid customer acquisition tactics. The position requires a creative and strategic marketer with a background in SaaS tech marketing, possessing both strategic thinking and tactical chops. Responsibilities
* Plan and execute organic promotion of content, including unpaid social media, email campaigns, and online communities * Work closely with our content team to identify opportunities to promote old and new assets, including blogs, books, podcasts, newsletters and videos * Coordinate with the paid marketing team to create landing pages and SEO-friendly content to increase brand reach * Create, manage and execute lead generation programs in partnership with sales teams to drive online traffic, product adoption and generate * Marketing Qualified Leads Identify trends and insights, and optimize performance based on findings
Ideal Candidate
You should: * Have 2-4 years online marketing experience in a SaaS product company * Have demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO, social media and email nurturing campaigns and a solid understanding of inbound marketing methodology * Possess a love of finding and utilizing unrealized, “out-of-the-box” techniques Have experience in optimizing landing pages and customer acquisition funnels * Possess solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Moz, Google Webmaster Tools) and social media management tools (e.g. Buffer, Mention) * Have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field Ideally you: * Have a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints * Are up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement * Have used Tableau, Looker or similar BI analytics tools, and know your way around a pivot table
