Responsibilities
Marketing at GitHub has a history of delighting its audience. We appreciate complex topics made friendly, and favor value over fluff. We don't just want to create customers. We want to rally fans. We're looking for an experienced web producer to drive the web marketing strategy of a world-class online experience. As the web producer, you will work with our creative, marketing, and product teams to improve information architecture and web marketing results. You will be responsible for guiding strategy, aligning internal stakeholders, driving engagement and increasing revenue. **Responsibilities** * Lead a comprehensive web marketing strategy; define the scope, business requirements, budget, benefit analysis and cost justifications. * Inform the web team's goals for organizing and improving the user flow through GitHub's logged out experience. * Responsible for driving an increasing rate of return visitors, inquiries and revenue. * Continually evaluate website performance, assess results, and make continuous improvements by examining data. * Work with UX and creative teams to ensure our websites accurately represent our visual and written brand identity, and provide a consistent user experience across our web properties. * Work within product, sales, and marketing to develop objectives to drive customer acquisition and improve market awareness. * Set key performance indicators to monitor the health and growth of our websites. * Develop strategies for standardizing common marketing components.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications** * 7+ years of progressive online marketing, UX, and/or product management experience. * 5+ years managing an organization's primary revenue-driving websites. * Experience with web funnel management and conversion rate optimization for a high traffic, high profile site. * Experience with user-centric design and human computer design interaction principals. * Strong writing skills, particularly writing in a journalistic, easy to digest style. * Experience marketing technical products to technical users and enterprise buyers. * Strong project management, communication, and feedback skills. * Experience with Moz, Crazy Egg, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Mixpanel, Usertesting.com, and salesforce.com. * Ability to articulate yourself well in written form. * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States **Bonus** * Hands-on experience with a broad set of web technologies, such as: * UI frameworks, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Javascript, AJAX, Jekyll. * Some comprehension of scripting languages: e.g. PHP, Ruby, Python. * Experience working with Rails apps. * Databases: e.g.SQL, etc. * Extensive experience building websites * Experience with Git and GitHub workflows * Experience building HTML emails * Experience with content localization for international audiences
