Summary
The SEO Manager is a key contributor to Legacy’s audience development and monetization strategy. This role is the lead subject matter expert related to SEO and SEM activities. With a focus on positively impacting KPIs that drive revenue, this person will work across the organization to implement the audience growth strategies she/he develops. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, has a history of using data to support strategy development, and wants to be a direct contributor to growing a profitable internet business that ranks in top-50 for traffic. This person should have experience developing and implementing SEO strategies that drive top tier results. This role is a core part of the marketing team, identifying opportunities to attract and delight audiences that are most valuable to our business. Working closely with the ecommerce and advertising teams to identify, launch, test and prove out total revenue impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies that grow audience and improve experience to achieve revenue objectives - Analyze and optimize organic search for Legacy.com, including but not limited to: keyword selection/utilization, site architecture improvements, and targeted content creation - Develop integrated campaign strategies (utilizing SEO and PPC) to promote audience growth and conversion across high-yield categories such as sympathy flowers, memory books, and charities - Act as SEO subject matter expert by providing ongoing input to internal business partners regarding SEO best practices, with the consistent goal of increasing traffic to high-value areas to grow revenue both short and long term - Use various internal and external analytics tools to measure performance of organic and paid search efforts and audience growth initiatives, use data to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity - Monitor SEO and PPC trends and share insights daily with key stakeholders to optimize performance, experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Counsel-Webmaster Tools, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog and DeepCrawl are beneficial - Provide weekly/monthly communication on performance of identified KPIs for broader teams - Build the project plan for audience development with content team as core partner-- fully scope, implement and iterate to grow key value segments of our audience - Role supports full company initiatives across consumer facing sites from international to channel partner efforts as they extend the reach of our network
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline with proven problem-solving skills - 4+ years professional experience in the internet or online marketing industries - 2+ years experience in SEO for an online business or in an agency environment - Strong written and verbal communication silks; experience leading projects is a plus - Experience with web analytics tools, preferably Google Analytics - Very strong working knowledge of Excel, demonstrated ability presenting data - Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
