Summary
The Resource Manager is responsible for fulfilling client project staffing demands. The position is responsible for managing delivery resource utilization and availability.
Responsibilities
* Serves as information manager and single point-of-contact for client project staffing. * Manages delivery resource calendars. * Balances maximization of chargeability and gross profit with client/project needs when making staffing decisions. * Collaborates with appropriate individuals to report on the health of the services business to senior management – including reports on utilization, bench, employee morale, delivery pipeline, skill demands, and services outlook. * Uses knowledge of pipeline and client needs to work with PSM/MSL on strategic staffing decisions. * Maintains regular communication with regional Project Managers to understand project schedule changes. * Facilitates two-way communication with Sales team about timing and specifics of availability for resource deployment. * Monitors sales pipeline to help drive hiring/recruiting decisions. * Leverages external relationships with 3rd-party vendors to source resources unavailable internally. * Manages acquisition and knowledge of delivery team skill profiles and certifications to maintain up-to-date databases. * Manages acquisition of delivery team resumes for client presentation. * Assists back office personnel by providing information to facilitate the close of each time period and providing information about project set-ups. * Manages confidential information with utmost integrity. * Maintains “trusted advisor” status with all internal clients. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Education and Experience:** * Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Project management or similar experience required. * Financial/business analysis experience preferred. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** * Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel and Sharepoint; * Ability to learn internal systems quickly and utilize them to manage required processes required. * Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets Statements of Work and translates technologies in scope to skill sets. * Ability to work in an interrupt-driven environment, balancing many conflicting priorities at once. * Ability to effectively present information to peers, internal clients, and senior management. * Ability to respond in a timely manner to client requirements. * Ability to demonstrate integrity in handling delicate information at a managerial level with consideration for privacy and respect. * Ability to convey unpopular information in an effective yet sensitive fashion. * Ability to demonstrate professionalism while pushing back on confrontational and persuasive internal clients. **Physical Demands** * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop and kneel. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus due to computer work. * Light to moderate lifting is required. * Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.

Working Conditions

Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic). Ability to work in a confined area. Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
