Summary
ITW is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be a part of the Corporate Accounting team. The Senior Financial Analyst will have a strong understanding of financial processes within a large multinational corporate environment, strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated analytical skills, and be able to work independently. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Manager, Corporate Accounting and work closely with members of corporate and business management and the company’s executive team.
Responsibilities
* Monthly/Quarterly/Annual close processes including preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations * Preparation of quarterly reporting package for the Corporate ledger including detailed analysis of assigned accounts * Management of GL system including account maintenance, system parameters, close procedures and reconciliation to consolidation system * Identify areas for process improvement and streamlining * Manage multiple projects to increase efficiency of department procedures and processes * Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules in BNA * Support corporate departments including reporting, accrual and outlook adjustments * Assist in preparation, consolidation and analysis of Corporate Annual Plan along with importing into the G/L and consolidation systems * Assist with various projects, internal and external audit requests, ad hoc projects and assignments as they develop
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree in Business (finance or accounting), CPA a plus * Minimum 5-7 years corporate and/or industry experience; experience in Corporate Accounting and/or business analysis roles * Must be able to manage multiples priorities and deadlines simultaneously * Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment are essential * Strong analytical skills and business/financial acumen * Must be able to identify accounting issues and know when to notify manager * Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review * Effective time management skills to ensure that work is completed efficiently * High level of proficiency in utilizing Excel, including advanced formulas and basic macros; demonstrated proficiency with Oracle HFM, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and SQL a plus * Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to research and follow-up timely and independently on pending items.
